Alabama First Lady Patsy Riley
at the Governor's Mansion.

 

This year celebrates the 50th anniversary of the camellia as Alabama's state flower. A dedication of this extraordinary milestone took place at the Alabama State Capitol on January 7, 2009. A marker has been placed on the Capitol grounds as a reminder of this special time in Alabama history.

“The First Lady’s 2010 Tea Party”
The annual First Lady’s Tea Party
will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010
at 10:30 a.m. at the Governor’s
Mansion. This will be Mrs. Riley’s
final Tea Party as First Lady of
Alabama. Proceeds from the event
will go towards the
Mansion Complex and Hill House, the sister house to the Governor’s Mansion. For more information about tickets,

“2010 Spring Garden Tours”
The annual Spring Garden Tours will be held on Sunday, April 11 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Visitors may tour the inside the Governor’s Mansion as well as the grounds. The tour is open to the public and tickets are free. Tickets may be picked up the day of the tour at the Governor’s Mansion Gift Shop, located across the street on Finley Avenue.
